About cookies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. This page lists the cookies PetsFindly uses and explains how to turn off the ones you can.

1. Essential cookies

These keep you signed in, protect your account and remember basic settings such as your country. They cannot be turned off, and none of them is used for advertising.

  • pf_at: keeps you signed in. Lasts 15 minutes.
  • pf_rt: renews your session so that you stay signed in. Lasts 30 days.
  • pf_s: tells the site you are signed in. Lasts 30 days.
  • pf_csrf: makes sure a form was sent from our own site. Deleted when you close your browser.
  • pf_country: remembers the country you browse in. Lasts 1 year.

2. Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used. Clarity also records clicks and scrolling, and it masks anything you type into a form. Both are on by default, and both load through Google Tag Manager. If we add another tool there, we will list it here first.

  • _ga and _ga_*: Google Analytics. Last up to 2 years.
  • _clck: Microsoft Clarity. Lasts up to 1 year.
  • _clsk: Microsoft Clarity. Lasts 1 day.
  • Microsoft also sets its own cookies on its domains, such as MUID. Only your browser settings can remove those.

3. Your choices

Choose "Reject non-essential" on the cookie banner, or open Cookie settings at the foot of any page. Both turn analytics off and remove its cookies from this site. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will sign you out.
