About this policy

PetsFindly, run by Growth Avengers ("we", "us"), helps pet owners, breeders, shelters and vets connect for breeding, adoption and sale. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers petsfindly.com and every PetsFindly app.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password. If you start a listing before signing up, we hold it in a guest account until you claim it.
• Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, your email address and whether that email is verified. We use them only to create your account and sign you in, never for advertising. Once you have another way to sign in, you can disconnect Google from your account settings.
• Verification documents, if you apply for a breeder, shelter or vet badge.
• Listings: what you tell us about a pet, including species, breed, age, health details, photos, city and price.
• Billing details when you pay: our payment provider handles your card, and we keep a record of the payment.
• Messages you send to other members through PetsFindly.
• Your location, only if you allow it, to find your nearest city. We do not keep your exact position.
• Usage data: IP address, browser, pages viewed and error reports.

2. How we use it

• To run PetsFindly: show listings, find matches and deliver messages.
• To verify your phone number or email address.
• To keep the platform safe: review reports and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To send you account emails, and marketing emails only if you opt in.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.

3. Who sees your information

We do not sell your personal information.

PetsFindly's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• Other members: a published listing is public. Your phone number and email are not shown publicly. A member who spends a contact credit to reach you can see them.
• Our team: to handle reports, support requests and abuse.
• Service providers: hosting, storage, payments, SMS, email, maps, sign-in, search, photo screening, analytics and error monitoring, only to run PetsFindly. Some may process data outside your country.
• Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect someone from harm.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can reject analytics at any time. Our Cookie Policy lists each one.

5. How long we keep it

• Account data: while your account is open.
• Closed accounts: your profile and listings come down straight away. Your personal data is erased when you ask us to (see Your rights).
• Guest accounts that are never claimed: closed after a few weeks.
• Verification documents: deleted 30 days after we make a decision.
• Payment records: as long as accounting and tax law requires.
• Messages: kept while the conversation exists.

6. Your rights

You can view, correct or download your data and close your account from your account settings. To have your personal data erased, email support@petsfindly.com. We honour these requests wherever you live.

7. Security

We encrypt data in transit, never store your password in plain text, and limit who on our team can see your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.

8. Children

PetsFindly is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we delete it if we find any.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change, we will update the Last updated date on this page and email account holders before it takes effect.
